Het belangrijkste bestanddeel van de dotatie van deze prebende werd Wybinga goed oppa Nyland. Nog eeuwen lang zou deze boerderij eigendom van het Wybingaleen zijn. (…) De wier die tot in 19de eeuw naast Wybinga sate lag (…) is een teken dat Wybenga een oude adellijke machtspositie was. Waarschijnlijk was de stins in 1452 al afgebroken; Wybenga lijkt dan een gewone boerderij te zijn. De stinswier wordt in de atlassen van 1718 en 1850 aangegeven. Hij lag direct ten zuiden van de boerderij, bij de splitsing van de Tjaarddijk en de Remswerder laan, niet ver van Nijlander Zijl. Bovendien is er een schilderij van omstreeks 1825 bewaard gebleven van Douwe de Hoop (1800-1830) waarop de wier tussen enkele bomen, met op de achtergrond de boomsingel rond Wybenga sate en nog verder weg de kerktoren van Nijland te zien zijn. In 1873 werd de wier afgegraven. Het perceel heette in de 20ste eeuw nog de Wier.\"",
