Hessel Sioorda, haudling to Nyatzharka trad in 1487 op als bemiddelaar; in 1487 en 1491 sloot hij zich aan bij verbonden met Dokkum, respectievelijk Groningen. Een gedecoreerd psalmboek met kalenders, deels stammend uit 1340, dat bezit van de Sioorda's was, is bewaard gebleven.\r\nBij de verkoop van Sioorda-state in 1671 was sprake van de boerderij en 't stins daerop staende. Rond de boerderij lag in 1832 nog een brede gracht. Het stinsterrein is verhoogd en ligt tussen twee andere terpen. Uit de combinatie van verschillende gegevens blijkt dat deze nederzetting in de Middeleeuwen Jaringahuizen heette.\"",
