In de 15de eeuw was die er\r\nwaarschijnlijk wel, want in de oorkonde van 1423 is sprake van een vete, waarbij ook doden vielen.\r\nPowtsma sate, 69 pondemaat groot, werd in 1511 door de edelman Ritske Boelema aan Botte Powtsma verpacht. In zijn testament omschreef hij het goed als een zaete lants leggende te Wierum in Dongerdeel westerzyde der Pasens, hetende to Poulsma, met alle zyn heerlicheyt ende gewalt. Via de families Minnema en Baerdt vererfde het goed op Tammerus Gerardi, in 1640 predikant te IJlst, die de stamvader van de families Poutsma en Van Poutsma werd. In 1830 lag rond het perceel ten westen van de boerderij een brede gracht. Het is niet bekend uit welke tijd deze dateerde.\"",
