Het goed was in 1619 verpacht; de pachter bewoonde toen ook het steenhuis. In 1640 behoorde Popma aan Aesghe en Frouck Popma cum suis; pachter was toen Mary Keimpe Joostes wed. tot Popma. In 1700 en 1718 bestond het huis, toen een gewone boerderij, nog wel. Het land was echter in verschillende delen uiteengevallen.\"",
