Hoogstwaarschijnlijk betreft het een fictieve stins, ontsproten aan de fantasie van de edelman Rennert van Solckema. Een parallel is daarbij te trekken met de Douwema- en Solckema-stinzen in Garijp en vergelijkbare ficties van de Albada's over Poppinga te Poppingawier en Oetsma te Goënga en van de Broersma's over Ockema te Legemeer. Gralda guedt werd in 1543 voor het eerst genoemd; een Joucke Jouckez had er een rente uit geschonken aan de prebende te Grouw. In 1596 legateerde Rennert van Solckema de stens- sate te Grou liggende, Graelde genaemt aan zijn zoon Abraham van Solckama. Om zijn adellijke kwartieren te vermeerderen vertelde hij in zijn \"lineageboek\" dat dit goed afkomstig was van zijn grootvader aan moeders kant, die Edsardus à Douma nobilis in Garryp, dominus in Graelda in Grou geheten zou hebben en woonachtig geweest zou zijn op't stens Graelda, die hij van zijn moeder zou hebben geërfd.\"",
