Via een tweede huwelijk kwam Heemstra in de zestiende eeuw aan de familie Scheltema, naar wie het in 1800 als de stins Scheltema met poort werd aangeduid.\r\nHet huis werd in 1722 getekend als een robuuste zaalstins met 17de-eeuwse aanbouwen en een poort. Het werd bij een verkoop binnen de familie in 1676 omschreven als Hiemstra state en de sate met stins, huisinge, poort, singels, grachten en homeyen. In 1801 werd het huis afgebroken.\"",
