Zij laten een eenvoudig groot diep huis zien op de hoek van de Dijkstraat en de Lijnbaanstraat. In de voorgevel waren spreuken en symbolen met betrekking tot gerechtigheid en jurisdictie aangebracht. Haaks op het huis stond aan de straat een lager dwarshuis en een toegangspoort tot het achterterrein. Dat bestond (in 1598, 1645, 1616 en 1664) uit een erf met een put met een zwengel. Daarachter was een door een laag hek afgescheiden boomgaard (1598, 1616), waardoor later de Nieuwe Gracht werd gegraven, waaraan weer nieuwe woonhuizen verrezen (1645, 1664).",
