Eén daarvan was Jongema.\"\r\n\"In 1622 wordt Geins en in 1664 Jongama als adellijke state aangegeven. Tot 1695 was het nageslacht van Laes van Jongema eigenaar van de state te Geins. In dat jaar werd hij verkocht. Bij die gelegenheid werd het geheel omschreven als de aedelycke state ende sate met de adelycke huysinge, hovinge, bomen ende plantagie cum annexis, Jongma state genaemt. Verder werden de huysmanne huysinge, schuiere, watermuelen, poort, blauwpand barge- en schiphuys, singels en grachten genoemd. Na de verkoop van 1695 werd Jongema te Geins een gewone boerderij. Op het kadaster van 1832 is in de percelering de vroegere tuinaanleg nog te zien, hoewel alles inmiddels bouw- en weiland was en de grachten gedempt waren.\"",
